Comments:

David McGoldrick subsequently had the third goal credited to him by the Football League. Initially, his second goal was awarded as an Jamel Fyfield own goal after his shot was deflected in off the York City midfielder. The Football League have now judged that McGoldrick's shot was goal-bound before Fyfield's deflection so it has been officially awarded to the Sky Blues striker. He told the club's official web site after the match: "I have definitely scored two goals tonight. I have just seen that the second one was given as an own goal. "But it was definitely going in before. The defender had tried to clear it but it has gone in meaning it is my goal. "I'm sure when they look at it again, they will see it was my goal."
