League position: 14th West Ham United became the ninth club to play 800 games in the Premier League. This was United's first win in their last nine Premier League games (lost five). The Hammers kept a clean sheet for the first time in their last 11 Premier League games. Cheikhou Kouyate was booked for excessive celebration in the second minute of added time in the first-half. Darren Randolph was booked in the fourth minute of added time in the second-half. West Ham United manager Slaven Bilic said: "It is a huge win. It was much-needed. There was big pressure, not on me, but the players. The crowd recognised that and were behind us."

League position: 18th Swansea City had now lost five consecutive away games in the Premier League for the first time. The Swans had now failed to keep a clean sheet in their last 15 away games in the Premier League. City had now lost 20 league games so far in this season. The only top division season when they had lost more games was in 1982-83 (21 defeats in 42 games). Swansea City manager Paul Clement said: "It's a very poor result for us. We didn't deserve anything more than what we got. In the first-half we were full of anxiety and fear. It's a big result for them and they won't care about how they performed. It's not a good afternoon for us."
