Comments:

League position: 14th West Ham United scored three goals in the first-half of a Premier League game for the first time since 1 September 2012 against Fulham (won 3-0). The Hammers avoided becoming the first team to lose four consecutive games in the top division by a margin of three or more goals since Nottingham Forest in April 1968 in League Division One. They avoided failing to score in consecutive home league games for the first time since November 2013.

Comments:

League position: 18th Southampton had now won one of their last 18 games in the Premier League (lost eight). The Saints had now taken 28 points from their 31 games so far in this Premier League season; only in 1996-97 and 2004-05 (27 each) had they taken fewer at this stage of a Premier League season. New boss Mark Hughes became the second manager to take charge of six different Premier League clubs in this game after Sam Allardyce (seven).
