Comments:

League position: 17th West Ham United failed in their attempt to win consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since January 2017. The Hammers avoided losing their opening three home league games of a season for the first time. They now had failed to win any of their last seven London derbies (drawn five), having lost 95 in the Premier League; more than any other team.

Comments:

League position: 3rd Chelsea failed in their attempt to win their opening six games of a Premier League season for the third time. They did so in 2005-06 and 2009-10. Maurizio Sarri failed to become the third manager to win his first six Premier League games in charge after Carlo Ancelotti and Pep Guardiola. This was the Blues' 600th London derby game in the top division; only Arsenal (674) and Tottenham Hotspur (609) had played more.
