Comments:

League position: 7th West Ham United failed in their attempt to win four consecutive home games in the Premier League for the first time since March 2002. It was now ten years since they had scored five or more goals in a league game (6-0 win against Brighton and Hove Albion in the League Championship on 14 April 2012). Aaron Cresswell became the second player to make 250 appearances for the Hammers in the Premier League after Mark Noble.

Comments:

League position: 18th Following the sacking of manager Sean Dyche two days earlier, this was Under-23s coach Mike Jackson's first game in caretaker charge. Maxwel Cornet missed a penalty in the 45th minute. It was the first penalty awarded to the Clarets in the Premier League since West Ham United's visit to Turf Moor on 3 May 2021. They had now scored 50 goals in 54 games in the Premier League since 1 January 2021 (conceded 80).
