League position: 9th After 15 games, this was Watford's sixth league win of the season. In their two previous Premier League campaigns, they won six games in 1999-2000 and five games in 2006-07. Troy Deeney became the first Watford player to score in four consecutive Premier League games. Odion Ighalo scored in the first minute of added time in the second half. He was then booked in the second minute of added time for excessive goal celebration. Adlene Guedioura replaced Odion Ighalo in the fourth minute of added time in the second half.

League position: 16th Norwich City had now won just one of their last ten Premier League games (lost six). The Canaries had now managed just one clean sheet in the Premier League so far in this season; a 1-0 home win over Swansea City on 7 November 2015. This was the first time that City had failed to score in their last 23 league meetings with Watford.
