At 19 years and 27 days, Domingos Quina became the youngest scorer for Watford in the Premier League. The previous club record holder was Tommy Smith who was 19 years and 155 days when he scored against Middlesbrough on 24 October 1999 The Hornets had now lost one of their last ten home games in the Premier League against newly promoted teams. They had now conceded two or more goals in each of their last five games in the Premier League.
