Spurs had now won 12 consecutive home league games within a top division season for the first time in their history. Vincent Janssen scored his first goal in the Premier League in open play in his 24th appearance. Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino said: "At the end of the season when everyone is tired, we need everyone to have the right mental attitude and happiness helps. We now need everyone to rest and get ready for the next few games. The three points are very important to keep our dream."

Only Hull City (67) and Swansea City (68) had now conceded more goals than the Cherries (63) so far in this Premier League season.
