Comments:

League position: 19th Swansea City had lost their four preceding games in the Premier League. They avoided losing five consecutive games in the top division for the first time. The Swans had now failed to score in three consecutive games in the Premier League for the first time since May 2013. They had now scored seven goals so far in this Premier League season; fewer than any other team. Swansea City manager Paul Clement said: "I was pleased with our spirit, energy and enthusiasm. I saw a team fighting, a team committed and a team giving everything to get the result. Some of our football was really positive as well, especially after the break, and the only thing we were missing was that finish. There will be other games where we don't play as well as that and win."

League position: 12th AFC Bournemouth had now kept three consecutive clean sheets in the Premier League for the first time. They had now kept clean sheets in three consecutive league games for the first time since October 2014 in the League Championship. Marc Pugh made his 263rd appearance for the Cherries; one more than manager Eddie Howe. AFC Bournemouth manager Eddie Howe said: "The team cohesion is really good, when you're conceding goals everyone focuses on the defence, and the same when you keep clean sheets. It's about the team and the strikers and midfielders protecting the back four and we're working well at the minute. I am really pleased with it because I think we're getting our rewards defensively that we weren't earlier in the season. There were chances for us but just not enough to say that we played really well."
