Comments:

League position: 16th Sunderland were now undefeated in their last seven league meetings with Leicester City. The Black Cats had only won four home matches this season; the joint lowest in the Premier League this season with relegated Burnley. Lee Cattermole had now collected 14 yellow cards in the league this season which equalled the record number in a Premier League season. This feat was previously achieved by Robbie Savage, Mark Hughes and Cheick Tiote.

Comments:

League position: 14th Due to Hull City's defeat at Tottenham Hotspur on the same afternoon, Leicester City had now secured Premier League football for the 2015-16 season with one match to go. They were bottom of the table at the beginning of April. The Foxes had now won six of their last Premier League eight matches, after winning only four of their first 29 league fixtures in this season. Victory in this game would have been Leicester City's third away win in a row, a feat they had yet to achieve in their Premier League history. This was their fifth clean sheet in their last six Premier League matches.
