League position: 13th Southampton avoided losing an 11th home league game in a season for the first time in their Premier League and Football League history. In his 30th appearance for the club in all competitions, Che Adams scored his first goal for the Saints following his move from Birmingham City in July 2019. Southampton remained as the only current team in the Premier League that had yet to draw a game in 2020.

Comments:

League position: 2nd Manchester City had now lost three consecutive away games in the Premier League for the first time since April 2015 under manager Manuel Pellegrini. City had now lost nine games so far in this Premier League; the most by a team finishing as runners-up since Chelsea in the 2010-11 season (also nine). They failed to score for the second time in their last 12 games in all competitions.
