George Baldock made his 100th league appearance for United and had now played in every minute of the 39 league games since their return to the Premier League.

Comments:

Wolverhampton Wanderers had now taken 102 points from their 114 away games in the Premier League (won 23, lost 58). They remained unbeaten in their opening league game in the last eight seasons since a 1-0 defeat at Leeds United in the League Championship in 2012. Wolves scored two goals in the opening ten minutes of a game for the first time since a 5-0 win against Millwall in the League Cup on 20 September 2011. It was the first time they had taken a two-goal lead after six minutes of a game in the top division since a 2-1 win against West Ham United in League Division One on 15 May 1982.
