Comments:

League position: 7th This was Sheffield United’s first home game in the Premier League since May 2007 against Wigan Athletic. Phil Jagielka was in the Blades’ starting line-up for that game and substitute in this game. It was a gap of 4,480 days; only Wayne Rooney on his return to Everton had a bigger gap in appearances for the same club in the Premier League (4,837 days). They became the first team to name a British and Irish starting XI in consecutive Premier League games since Norwich City in April 2012. John Lundstram had now scored in each of England's top four league divisions.

Comments:

League position: 14th In their first away game of the 2019-20 season, Crystal Palace failed in their attempt to win four consecutive away games in the top division for the first time. They had won five of their last six away games in the Premier League in 2018-19, including each of the last three. Only champions Manchester City (24) had scored more goals in their away games in the Premier League so far in 2019 than Palace (20). They have won one of their last 11 games in the Premier League played in August (lost eight).
