Comments:

League position: 19th Only Southampton (23) had now conceded more goals in their home games than Norwich City so far in this Premier League season (20). They had now conceded at least two goals in each of their last seven games at Carrow Road in the division. The Canaries had now won one of their last 11 games in the Premier League (lost eight). This was the first time that City had lost a game in the Premier League after scoring the opening goal since a 4-1 defeat at Aston Villa on 2 March 2014. This game took place the day after the death of former manager Ron Saunders who guided the Canaries to their first promotion to the top division in 1972 and their first Wembley final (League Cup) in 1973.

Comments:

League position: 8th Sheffield United remained unbeaten in their eight away games so far in this Premier League season (won two); their longest such run from the start of a season in the top division since 1899-1900 (ten games in League Division One). The Blades became the first newly-promoted team to remain unbeaten in their opening eight away games in the Premier League since Blackburn Rovers in the 1992-93. Chris Basham was shown a red card after 74 minutes but, after a VAR review, it was downgraded to a yellow card. This was the first-ever occurrence of such an event in the Premier League.
