League position: 16th This defeat equalled Crystal Palace's biggest losing margin in a Premier League game (also 5-0 at Liverpool on 28 November 1992 and 6-1 against Liverpool at Selhurst Park on 20 August 1994). Palace had now conceded 1,002 goals in their 679 games in the top division. They became the 41st team to reach the 1,000 mark. They had now lost their last three games in the Premier League and failed to score in all three. Damien Delaney was booked in the second minute of added time in the second-half. Crystal Palace manager Sam Allardyce said: "Our system did not cause us to concede today's first goal. Our defender had to clear the ball and he didn't, and from it they scored. Individuals did not perform to our usual standards. My team was unrecognisable from what I've seen over the past two or three months."
