Comments:

League position: 1st Although they had now won their last 14 home games in the Premier League, Manchester City failed in their attempt to equal Liverpool's competition record of scoring more than one goal in 14 consecutive home games in the Premier League in 2013-14. City had now won six consecutive home games in the Premier League against the reigning champions since a 1-0 defeat by Manchester United in April 2010. Their current lead at the top of the table of 18 points was now the biggest in the Premier League since 11 March 2006 when Chelsea were 18 points ahead of Manchester United. Bernardo Silva scored after 33 seconds of the second-half.

Comments:

League position: 5th Reigning champions Chelsea had now lost four of their last five games in the Premier League. Antonio Conte had now suffered a league double for only the second time in his mangerial career (also against Sampdoria in Serie A in 2012-13 when he was in charge of Juventus).
