Comments:

League position: 6th This defeat equalled Liverpool's biggest losing margin in a Premier League match at home. Chelsea won 4-1 at Anfield on 2 October 2005. Philippe Coutinho was booked in the fourth minute of added time in the first half. Nathaniel Clyne was booked in the first minute of added time in the second half.

Comments:

League position: 7th This was West Ham United's first league win at Liverpool since 14 September 1963 so ending a run of 42 league visits to Anfield without a victory (drawn 11 and lost 31). The Hammers had now been shown six red cards in ten games this season in all competitions. They were shown only three in 43 games last season when they qualified for the UEFA Europa League via the Fair Play League. Mark Noble was sent-off after 78 minutes for serious foul play. However, his subsequent claim for wrongful dismissal was upheld and the red card withdrawn. Diafra Sakho scored in the second minute of added time in the second half. Josh Cullen replaced Diafra Sakho in the sixth minute of added time in the second half.
