Comments:

League position: 17th Leonardo Ulloa's opening goal was timed at 36 seconds. Leicester City had now won four of their last five matches (all Premier League). On 3 March 2015, the Foxes had 18 points from 26 games - 17 fewer points than Newcastle United. This victory reached the gap to a single point.

Comments:

League position: 15th Newcastle United had now lost five successive away Premier League games without scoring. Prior to this game, United were unbeaten in nine league games against Leicester City since a 2-0 home defeat on 15 April 2000. The Magpies had now lost eight straight league defeats; a streak only 'bettered' by a club record ten match losing streak during August to October 1977. At the end of that season, they were relegated along with Leicester City.
