Comments:

League position: 15th Leicester City had now won both games under the caretaker charge of former Hull City assistant manager Craig Shakespeare following the dismissal of Claudio Ranieri (also 3-1 versus Liverpool). The Foxes had now scored twice as many Premier League goals in their two games under Craig Shakespeare (six) as they did in their last ten games under Claudio Ranieri (three). This was their first win after conceding the first goal in a Premier League game since 31 October 2015 when they beat West Bromwich Albion 3-2. Caretaker manager Craig Shakespeare said: "In terms of our points, it has been a turnaround. Everyone looked at the game against Liverpool on Monday and to get the three points under pressure was important but to back that up with another win was vitally important."

Comments:

League position: 19th Sam Clucas netted his first Premier League goal in this game. The former Leicester City youth player had now scored in the Conference, League Two, League One, League Championship and Premier League in consecutive seasons. No team had now scored more own goals than Hull City (four) so far in this Premier League season. The Tigers had now lost 11 of their last 12 away games in the Premier League. Manager Marco Silva said: "The numbers are not good for us, that is clear. We need to fight but when you have chances to score, that is what makes the difference."
