Comments:

League position: 1st Leicester City had now lost just one of 20 Premier League games (won 13) since losing at home to Chelsea on 29 April 2015. The Foxes had now won eight of their last 11 Premier League home games (lost one). Jamie Vardy made his 50th appearance in the Premier League and scored his 20th goal. He had now scored in six consecutive home Premier League games. The Foxes would now be aiming to continue the trend of every team that had been top of the Premier League after 16 games would go on to finish the season in the top four and so claim a Champions League place.

Comments:

League position: 16th Manager Jose Mourinho was sacked three days after this game. The reigning champions had now lost nine of their last 15 Premier League games to leave them just one point above the relegation zone. They lost a combined total of nine league games in the previous two seasons (six in 2013-14 and three in 2014-15). The Blues now had 15 points from 16 league games in 2015-16, their lowest tally at this stage since 1993-94 when they had 14 points and finished in 14th position. They had now conceded two or more goals in seven of their last nine Premier League away games.
