Comments:

League position: 18th This was Fulham’s first home win in the Premier League since the visit of West Bromwich Albion on 2 November 2020; longer than any other team currently in the division. The Whites avoided creating a new club record of nine consecutive home games in the top division without a win. They had now scored two goals in their last six home games in the Premier League.

Comments:

League position: 20th Sheffield United became the first team to lose 20 of their opening 25 games of a season in the top division and the first in the Premier League and Football League since Southport in League Division Four in 1975-76. The Blades became the third team to lose all of their first eight Saturday games in a season in the top division after Manchester United in 1930-31 and Wolverhampton Wanderers in 1964-65 (both League Division One). They had now kept a clean sheet in one of their 25 games so far in this Premier League season.
