Comments:

League position: 5th Unused substitutes: Richard Wright and Kevin Kilbane The FA Premier League's Dubious Goals Committee ruled on the following: - Everton’s first goal against Watford on 19th August has been confirmed as an Andrew Johnson goal. [re: Circular 1 - 20/09/2006] Although most sources credited Andrew Johnson with the opening goal, his shot took a decisive deflection off the chest of Lloyd Doyley to wrong-foot keeper Ben Foster so could have been regarded as an own goal.

League position: 16th Unused substitutes: Richard Lee and Matthew Spring The FA Premier League's Dubious Goals Committee ruled on the following: - Watford's goal against Everton on 19th August was in fact an own goal (Alan Stubbs) and has therefore not been credited to Damian Francis. [re: Circular 1 - 20/09/2006] - It was reviewed for a second time and confirmed as an Alan Stubbs own goal. [re: Circular 2 - 21/11/2006]
