Comments:

League position: 7th Everton had now equalled their Premier League club records for consecutive home wins (seven) and number of goals scored in home games in a season (38). Romelu Lukaku became the first player to score in seven consecutive home games in the Premier League since Luis Suárez for Liverpool in 2013-14 and the first Everton player to score in eight consecutive home games since Fred Pickering in 1964-65. This was the first time five goals had been scored in the first-half of a game at Goodison Park since the Toffees' 4-4 draw with Leeds United in the Premier League on 24 October 1999. Tom Davies' goal was timed at 30 seconds. Everton manager Ronald Koeman said: “It was a crazy ten minutes in the game. 1-0 up, 2-1 down and, okay, 2-2 after 20 minutes it was not what we expect at the beginning. I think we played some fantastic football in the first-half to go 3-2 up."

Comments:

League position: 11th Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare failed in his attempt to equal the Premier League record held by Pep Guardiola and Carlo Ancelotti for winning their first six games in charge. The Foxes had now kept only one clean sheet in their 15 away games so far in this Premier League season. Marc Albrighton marked his 100th appearance for City with his first goal in a Premier League away game since 10 December 2011 for Aston Villa at Bolton Wanderers. Leicester City manager Craig Shakespeare said: "I'm disappointed not to win the game. I don't think we deserved the win, I'm not saying that, but going behind so early on and then going 2-1 up, it was like a basketball game early on and a bit too open for me. We've got a big run of games coming up. I need to use the squad, the squad are good enough but they weren't at it today."
