Comments:

Dynamo Kiev had now won their last seven home games in European competition. This was only their fifth win in 24 games against English teams. They had now won 11 of their last 12 games at home in all competitions.

Comments:

Everton became the last English club to be eliminated from UEFA competitions during the 2014-15 season. It meant that no English clubs qualified for the Quarter-finals in Europe for the first time since 1992-93 (i.e. the first season of the Premier League). With his eighth goal, Romulu Lukaku increased his record as Everton's all-time leading goalscorer in European competition. He became the first Everton player ever to score in four consecutive European games.
