Comments:

Denmark had now lost four of their last five games at UEFA European Championship finals. Their only defeat in the preceding 11 games at the Parken Stadion was against Belgium in the UEFA Nations League on 5 September 2020. Denmark were one of five teams to qualify for Euro 2020 with an unbeaten record; also Belgium, Italy, Spain and Ukraine.

Comments:

in their 823rd senior international game, this was Finland's first-ever game at a major tournament. They became the 34th nation to play at a UEFA European Championships finals. This was Finland's third win in Denmark; previously in October 1931 and September 1949 (both international friendlies). Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg's penalty after 74 minutes was saved. Lukáš Hrádecký became the third goalkeeper to save a penalty on his debut appearance in the UEFA European Championship finals.
