Comments:

This was Czech Republic's fourth quarter-final at a UEFA European Championship finals (won the first two and now lost two). Patrik Schick was now the joint-leading scorer at Euro 2020 along with Portugal's Cristiano Ronaldo (five goals each). He became the sixth player to score five or more goals at their first UEFA European Championship finals. They had now won four and lost four of their ten games in 2021.

Comments:

Denmark had now reached the semi-final of a major tournament for the first time since the UEFA European Championship finals in 1992 when they won the tournament in Sweden. Denmark had now scored 11 goals at a major tournament for the first time; previously ten goals at FIFA World Cup finals in 1986. Kasper Dolberg was now Denmark's joint leading scorer at UEFA European Championship finals (three goals); also Jon Dahl Tomasson, Brian Laudrup, Henrik Larsen and Frank Arnesen.
