Comments:

League position: 4th Had Crystal Palace won this game, they would have surpassed their highest-ever points total after five games of a top division season (11). They were making their best start to a season since 2006-07, when they had nine points from their opening four games in the League Championship. Palace had won five of their last six Premier League games.

League position: 1st Manchester City had now won their last 11 league matches - a new club record. The Premier League record is 14 games by Arsenal in 2002. The only other season they had won the opening five games of a top division season was in 1912-13. City had also kept a clean sheet in six consecutive top division matches for the first time in their history. Martin Demichelis replaced Samir Nasri in the fourth minute of added time in the second half. Kelechi Iheanacho scored 54 seconds after coming on as a substitute in the 89th minute. He became the third-youngest player to score for City in the Premier League after Micah Richards and Daniel Sturridge.
