League position: 3rd Chelsea avoided drawing three consecutive home games in the Premier League for the first time since February 2016. The Blues had now conceded eight goals in their last three games in all competitions; as many goals as they had conceded in their preceding 18 games. Four of the 11 goals that they had now conceded so far in this Premier League season had been penalties. Chelsea were awarded a penalty after 57 minutes following a VAR review for a foul.

At 19 years and 221 days, Joe Gelhardt became the Whites' youngest scorer in Premier League since James Milner against Everton on 13 April 2004.
