The Blues had now conceded eight goals in their last three games in all competitions; as many goals as they had conceded in their preceding 18 games. At 19 years and 221 days, Joe Gelhardt became the Whites' youngest scorer in Premier League since James Milner against Everton on 13 April 2004.
