Comments:

League position: 15th Burnley had now lost nine of the 11 Premier League games they had played in the month of April (won one). This was the Clarets' first home defeat by a margin of two or more goals in the Premier League since losing 1-3 against Everton on 26 October 2014. They were now without a win in their last seven Premier League games (lost four). Burnley manager Sean Dyche said: "Up until the first goal we were solid and kept them from using the lines of passing that they like. We created some good positions but not good chances and then gave away a really poor goal."

Comments:

League position: 2nd Tottenham Hotspur had now lost only one of their last 14 Premier League games (won 11). This was Spurs' third win in their last 11 away games in the Premier League (lost three). Eric Dier's goal was his first in the Premier League since 13 December 2015 versus Newcastle United and his first away goal in the competition since 16 August 2014 at West Ham United. Moussa Sissoko replaced Harry Winks in the third minute of added time in the first-half. Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino said: "This win is massive for us. We have to be there if Chelsea fail and we are there. We are fighting for the Premier League. When you reduce the gap to seven points it's completely different to ten points. We just have to be there if Chelsea fail and want to be there until the end of the season."
