Comments:

League position: 19th Victory would had given Burnley a top-flight double over Stoke City for the first time since the 1967-68 season. The Clarets had now scored just once in their last six home matches. Turf Moor saw the lowest number of goals in the Premier League in this season (35). Only Southend United's Roots Hall had witnessed fewer in the Football League (34). Burnley had only won four home matches this season; the joint lowest in the Premier League in this season with Sunderland.

Comments:

League position: 9th Stoke City had now set a new club record of 51 points in a Premier League season. It was their highest tally in a top-flight campaign since 1982-83 when Ritchie Barker's Potters finished in 13th position in League Division One with 57 points (16 wins and nine draws in a 42-game season). The Potters were guaranteed a successive top-half league finish in the top-flight for the first time since the 1973-74 and 1974-75 seasons. City now had to wait until the 2015-06 season to score their 100th away goal in the Premier League.
