Comments:

League position: 15th Burnley failed in their attempt to win three consecutive home games in the Premier League for the first time since January 2017. The Clarets failed to extend their feat of beating the reigning champions in each of their previous four seasons in the Premier League (now played ten, won four, lost five). They had now lost 13 of their last 16 home games in the Premier League against the big six opponents (won one).

Comments:

League position: 1st Now with 92 points, Manchester City returned to the top of the table ahead of Liverpool (91 points). On a three points for a win basis, this became only the second season in the top division when two teams had accrued more than 90 points; also Arsenal (94) and Leeds United (91) in 1970-71 in League Dibvision One. Sergio Agüero became the second player to score 20 or more goals in a Premier League season for a sixth time after Alan Shearer (seven seasons). He also became the second player to score 20 or more goals in a Premier League season in five consecutive seasons after Thierry Henry from 2001-02 to 2005-06. City had now won their last 12 games in the Premier League; the longest such run by any team so far in this season.
