Comments:

League position: 7th Newly-promoted Burnley scored more goals in this game than they managed in their seven previous home Premier League games. Prior to this game, the Clarets had failed to score in eight of their last ten Premier League games and had failed to score in their last five Premier League home games. Sam Vokes became the first Burnley player to score a league goal against Liverpool at Turf Moor since Ray Hankin in March 1975. Aiden O'Neill replaced Andre Gray in the third minute of added time in the second half.

Comments:

League position: 9th Liverpool had now only kept one clean sheet in their last 11 away Premier League games. Before this game, Burnley were the only club to have played in the Premier League who had not scored a Premier League goal against the Reds. [c/o Ged Rea]. The last time Liverpool failed to score in a Premier League game was in a 2-0 defeat at champions-elect Leicester City on 2 February 2016.
