Comments:

League position: 4th As he was appointed manager of Chelsea four days later, this was Graham Potter's final game in charge of Brighton and Hove Albion. They won 42 (31.1%) and lost 47 of his 135 games in all competitions. This was the third time that Albion had scored four or more goals in a game in the Premier League; previously 4-1 versus Swansea City on 24 February 2018 and 4-0 v Manchester United on 7 May 2022 (played 196). With 13 points from their first six games, the Seagulls had now equalled their best start to a season in the top division (also 2021-22). They had now won seven and lost none of their last ten games in the Premier League played on a Sunday. Brighton and Hove Albion named eight of a possible nine substitutes. Alexis Mac Allister scored in the 47th minute but the goal was disallowed after a VAR review due to an offside decision.

Comments:
