Kick-off: 3.00pm Played behind closed doors due to COVID-19 restrictions. Premier League Head to Head Played: 6 Brighton and Hove Albion won: 3 Drawn: 2 Arsenal won: 1 Brighton and Hove Albion scored: 8 Arsenal scored: 7 This game was due to be played on 14 March 2020 but was postponed on 13 March 2020 due to the Premier League’s decision to suspend all games following the outbreak of COVID-19 (coronavirus). On this day, this was one of the two games that became the first Saturday 3.00pm kick-offs in league competitions to be televised live in the UK. While this game was broadcast by BT Sport, the League Championship game between West Bromwich Albion and Birmingham City was being shown on Sky Sports. The 3pm blackout came in to effect in the 1960s when Burnley chairman Bob Lord convinced his fellow Football League chairmen that televised 3pm kick-offs would have a negative effect on the attendances at other games on the same afternoon. Brighton and Hove Albion completed their first league double over Arsenal.
