Comments:

League position: 1st Middlesbrough extended their new club record to nine consecutive clean sheets in league games. The previous record of seven games was achieved between November and December in 1987 in League Division Two and between October and December in 2003 in the Premier League. In terms of playing time, the new record now stood at 817 minutes. The previous record of 702 minutes was achieved in the 2003 run. The Football League’s Dubious Goals Committee ruled on the following: - Middlesbrough's goal against Brentford on Tuesday 12th January 2016 was in fact a Daniel Ayala goal and was not an own goal by David Button.
