Comments:

League One Bradford City remained unbeaten in six games in the FA Cup and League Cup in 2014-15 against teams from the top two tiers. The last time the Bantams reached the 6th round of the FA Cup was in 1976 when they lost to eventual winners Southampton. City had scored 19 goals in their six previous matches in the FA Cup in this season.

Comments:

Reading had now reached the 6th round of the FA Cup for the third time in six seasons following their 2010 and 2011 success. Their best run in the FA Cup saw them lose to eventual winners Cardiff City at the Semi-final stage in 1927. In added time in the second half, Alex Pearce suffered a severe cut to his nose and after a delay of about four minutes, play continued. He had to change his kit to continue due to blood splatter but, as Reading had already used all three substitutions, his return to the pitch ensured that they completed the match with a full team complement.
