Leon Bailey had now scored two goals in his 24 appearances in the Premier League (also versus Everton at Villa Park on 18 September 2021).

Comments:

League position: 2nd Manchester City had now scored 20 goals in their first six games of this season in the Premier League, only scoring more at this stage of a season in the division in 2017-18 (21) and 2019-20 (24). City ended their club record run of scoring two or more goals in 14 consecutive games in the Premier League since a goalless draw at Crystal Palace on 14 March 2022. Erling Haaland had now scored ten goals in his first six appearances in the Premier League to equal the competition record set by Mick Quinn of Coventry City in December 1992.
