Comments:

Arsenal would now become the first club to appear in a 20th FA Cup final. The Gunners had now lost only one of their last 22 games in the FA Cup. Alexis Sánchez had now scored six goals in his five appearances at Wembley (four for Arsenal and and two for Chile). Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said: “When I don’t win the games I feel sad because I don’t feel that I gave people what they want. We have gone through a very difficult period and we faced some adversity that made the situation more difficult, from inside as well. We have shown a united response, not a divided response."

Comments:

In his 50th game in charge, Manchester City named an unchanged starting line-up under manager Pep Guardiola for the first time. This would now be the first time during his managerial career that Pep Guardiola would go through a season without winning a trophy. Sergio Agüero had now scored 14 goals in his 15 appearances in the FA Cup and 12 goals in his last 12 games for City in all competitions. Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola said: "We will improve next season and be stronger. We make a good cup. All the games away against Premier League teams. We arrive here and we compete, create more chances than our opponent, and hit the post. It was a little bit similar like what happened in the season."
