KICK-OFF: 7.45pm BST Assistant referee Ole Hermann Borgan from Norway was replaced before the game after he was pictured wearing a Barcelona shirt. Both teams recorded eight victories and four draws each in their 12 matches in reaching the final. It was only the third time since the competition began in 1992 that the two teams had reached the final unbeaten. Barcelona and Arsenal had previously met each other twice in Europe. In the 1999/2000 Champions League First Round group phase, they drew 1-1 at the Camp Nou but then Barca won 4-2 at Highbury.
