Draw procedure

The match schedule for the final tournament of the UEFA European Football Championship France 2016 was unveiled on 25 April 2014.

The draw for the finals groups was held at 18.00 CET on 12 December 2015 in Paris.

There were four pots (see below).

France were not included in the pots as they are automatically assigned as team A1.

The teams were drawn into six groups of four teams each (Groups A to F), with the top two in each plus the four best third-placed sides to advance to the knockout phase. The group stage ran from 10-22 June 2016.
