After a successful early career in the domestic league for Etoile Sahel he made his international debut in 1994 and was a member of the 1996 Olympic and 1998 World Cup Finals teams. He left Etoile Sahel in the summer of 1997 to join German club Freiburg before joining current club Besiktas in the summer of 2001. Excellent in the centre of midfield or on the left, where his distribution and vision have made him a key player. He also chips in with goals invaluable at international level football.
