Tony made a surprise appearance for Halifax Town when he replaced the injured Lee Butler midway through the 2-2 draw at Carlisle. He remained in the team until Butler had recovered fitness and never let the side down. Now in the twilight of his career he is part of the management team at The Shay and following the appointment of new boss Paul Bracewell he was installed as reserve-team manager. Tony is a vastly experienced goalkeeper with over 300 career appearances in senior football.
