One of several talented youngsters to emerge at Leeds United in recent years, Tony's entry into first-team football had been delayed by a string of injuries but he finally stepped up to make his senior debut in the Champions' League game against Barcelona at the Nou Camp Stadium in September 2000.
The tall striker then went on to feature in a couple more early-season games from the substitutes' bench.
Tony's contract at Notts County was cancelled in June 2004.
