After making a bright start at Stockport County in 2000-01, Tony was surprisingly sold to First Division rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers for something of a bargain fee at the end of September.
Although he made his debut for Wolves in the heart of the defence, his more usual role was in the centre of the park where he produced some intelligent play.
He also scored a number of important goals including a cheeky penalty at Bolton Wanderers and a fine volley against Watford.
An attacking central midfield player, he is capable of scoring spectacular goals.
Tony joined Bristol City in December 2004 with a contract to June 2007.
He joined Chester City in September 2007 with a one-year contract that was extended to June 2009 in July 2007.
