Walker's wing play dovetailed perfectly with that of Bobby Mitchell as Newcastle won FA Cup Final glory in 1951 and 1952. Direct and quick compared to Mitchell's dribbling style, he was installed on the Magpies right flank up on their return to the First Division in 1948.
