Mooney added a personal landmark to his already illustrious Watford career by exceeding the 20-goal mark for the first time - the first Hornets player to do so for seven seasons.

The club's leading scorer and very much a cult hero with the fans, he was voted as 'Player of the Year' and served as an inspirational captain in Robert Page's absence.

A left-footed striker who is effective either in a central role or wide on the left-hand side, he is outstanding in the air.

The former Aston Villa striker, who joined Swindon Town in a one-year deal in July 2003, joined Wycombe Wanderers in July 2005 with a two-year contract.
