A tricky Scottish winger, Tommy came to Tyneside from part-time football north of the border. He was a regular in the United team for seven seasons, and an ever-present in 1931-32 when Newcastle won the FA Cup.

This journeyman Scottish wingman enjoyed a long career spanning WW2 retiring at 41. His best years were probably with Newcastle United (1926-34) winning the FA Cup (1932). At Old Trafford Tommy, a tricky little player, arrived in time to clinch promotion, but rarely figured thereafter, moving on the following year.
