Youngs continued to make excellent progress at Cambridge United in 2000-01 and established himself as the club's main striker for the first time.
A tireless and unselfish worker up front, he scored regularly throughout the campaign and finished up as the Us' leading scorer.
His form attracted the attention of several bigger clubs.
Youngs joined Northampton Town for £50,000 on Transfer Deadline Day 2003 with a contract up to June 2005.
He moved on to Leyton Orient in January 2005 in a deal up to the end of the season.
