Robledo travelled with his brother George from Chile, via Yorkshire, to Tyneside. Although he was not to have the same impact as his elder sibling, he was nonetheless less regarded as reliable wing-half. He made most of his appearances in the 1951-52 season, including the FA Cup Final against Arsenal when his brother scored the only goal.
