A versatile player who is comfortable at centre back, wing back or in a midfield anchor role, Tahar showed great enthusiasm and grit in his performances for Southampton last season. A regular in the line-up for most of the season he also continued to be a member of the Moroccan national squad and is now approaching 100 caps for his country. He has adapted well to the English game and has become a popular character at The Dell easily recognisable in his silver boots.
